Can I switch plans later?
Yes. Move up or down any time. We pro-rate the difference and show it on your next invoice. No calls with sales required.
Do receptionists and hygienists count as providers?
No. You only pay per practising provider (dentists, hygienists who run their own chair). Receptionists, front-desk staff and admins are unlimited and free.
What if I have a slow month?
Provider seats can be paused. If a provider takes parental leave or a sabbatical, just pause the seat and we stop billing for it that month.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Onboarding, data migration from your previous system, and team training are included on every plan.
Do I need a separate Stripe account?
No. Smileline plugs into your existing Stripe Connect account. If you don't have one, we'll create it during onboarding in about 10 minutes.
How long is the contract?
Month-to-month. Cancel any time with 30 days notice. Annual billing gets you ~17% off, equivalent to two months free.
Where is patient data stored?
On EU infrastructure with full GDPR compliance, encryption at rest and in transit, and configurable retention windows.
